The vendor required to provide Data Center Management Software Suite capable of providing centralized visibility, management, and reporting across active data center environments.
- The solution must support rack-level management, power monitoring, asset tracking, capacity planning, and visualization for enterprise and co-location data center operations.
- Solution will support ongoing data center modernization initiatives, including higher-density racks, power upgrades, containment systems, and improved operational governance.
- Objectives
• Improve real-time visibility into data center infrastructure
• Accurately track rack assets, power utilization, and capacity
• Support planning for high-density and future growth
• Reduce operational risk through data accuracy and automation
• Enable reporting for leadership, facilities, and IT operations
- Services are designated as Mandatory (M) or Optional (O) for evaluation purposes.
• (M) Assign an implementation Project Manager and provide formal project governance, including a documented project plan, milestones, risk and issue management, and recurring written status reporting.
• (M) Configure accurate rack, asset, and spatial models, including floor plans, rack elevations (front and rear), asset hierarchies, and standardized naming conventions aligned with operational and CMDB practices.
• (O) Implement end-to-end power chain modeling, including utility-to-rack power paths, circuits, breakers, PDUs, redundancy configuration (N/N+1/2N where applicable), capacity utilization, and forecasting.
• (M) Configure cooling, thermal, and containment modeling, including hot-aisle and cold-aisle layouts, containment configuration, environmental sensor integration, and thermal visualization.
• (M) Provide systems integration services, including integration with power and environmental monitoring systems, UPS and PDU platforms, and identity and role-based access management (SSO/AD where supported).
• (O) Provide bi-directional integration with ITSM and CMDB platforms, including automated data synchronization and relationship mapping.
• (M) Configure operational workflows and dashboards, including Move/Add/Change (MAC) workflows, capacity request and approval processes, exception alerts, and role-based reporting for IT Operations, Facilities, and Leadership.
• (M) Conduct data validation, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), including reconciliation against physical inventories and formal acceptance sign-off.
• (M) Deliver role-based training and knowledge transfer, including administrator training, facilities and IT operations training, hands-on sessions using the live environment, and delivery of runbooks and operational documentation.
• (M) Support production go-live and post-implementation support for a minimum of thirty (30) days, including issue remediation, system tuning, and a post-implementation review.
