The Vendor is required to provide for a fully hosted college planning platform to assist students and families with understanding how financial aid in the country works, provide them with customized net cost projections at their select colleges, inform them of affordable college options that fit their academic and personal circumstances, and ultimately help them make informed decisions that minimize their out-of-pocket costs as it relates to higher education.
- Provide both an online tool and a digital educational series to engage, educate, and guide students and their families.
- The solution shall offer the following functionality:
• Customized Student Aid Index (SAI) values for users at both Federal Methodology (FM) and Institutional Methodology (IM) colleges
• Customized net cost projections for every college in the country based on each user’s academic and financial circumstances
• Detailed lists of the specific merit scholarships available and projected for each user at each college
• Affordability grades for each school being considered on the user’s list that is based on the family’s budget and the projected net cost at each school
• Searchable private scholarship database where users can seek non-institutional funding
• Step-by-step financial aid form instructions for both the FAFSA and CSS Profile
• Tools to assess how to pay the ultimate college bill and what impacts this may have on the family
• Customized guidance on what public and/or private loans may be most suitable for each user’s situation
• Admin dashboard for school counselors and administrators to monitor engagement and progress of students
• Training sessions for both administrators and students / families on how to best utilize and leverage the college planning platform
• Weekly virtual webinar workshops to educate families on key requirements, deliverables, deadlines, and other college planning, financial aid, and admissions topics.

- Supportive software solutions have therefore focused on providing guidance to these two questions, while spending minimal, if any, time on what the ultimate cost of attending one school versus another would be.
