RFP Description

The Vendor is required to provide for a fully hosted Peer-Led Learning Virtual Study Platform to assist with increasing student retention, graduation, and overall engagement rates.
- Provide a peer-led learning virtual study tool to engage students and build community. 
- The solution shall provide a virtual peer-led learning platform that offers all the following functionality:
•    Class communication: enables students to chat with peers in their class and allows professors to create chat groups for targeted discussions, similar to GROUPME or what’s app.
•    Direct communication: enables students to directly message a peer.
•    Flashcards: enables students to create and share flashcards with each other, similar to quizlet.
•    Private messaging: facilitates direct communication between students without sharing personal contact information.
•    Video conferencing: supports student to student and student to tutor live video chats and collaborative study sessions via video conferencing tools.
•    Personal organization: includes a personal planner and task management system to enhance student productivity.
•    Collaborative notes: enables students to take notes and share their notes with the class or select students.
•    Anonymous questions: allows students to ask anonymous questions that can be answered by students, tutors, and professors.
•    Student feedback surveys: includes student reflection surveys that allow students to anonymously share where they may be stuck or struggling in class, creating a real-time feedback loop.
•    Study library: student shared content exists in a shared study library that exists over multiple semesters. 
•    Gamification: include gamification model that encourages engagement, collaboration and ultimately leads to higher average grades and pass rates.
•    Incentive delivery: micro-rewards included and distributed to students and peer tutors.
•    Integration: have the ability to integrate with the LMS (d2l) and be able to integrate with banner and allows HGTC’S user management to integrate through SAML single sign-on (SSO) for secure user authentication.
•    AI tutor future: Has an integrated artificial intelligence tutor to support student learning.
- The solution:
•    Utilizes a peer-led learning tool to provide outreach, engagement, and crucial information to students, 24-hours a day via the app
•    Operates using native mobile apps and a browser
•    Framework utilizes gamification to engage students in their learning
•    Training for faculty and SI and ongoing support
•    Utilize a resource knowledge base that is customized to the institution
•    Include a web-based dashboard, showing data and analytics in real-time, which college administrators have access to
•    Dashboard analytics shall include student-specific insights around engagement
•    Compliant with FERPA
•    Has previous experience white institutions that require college Ellucian Banner 9 operating system integrations to operate
•    Ensure that the solution is ADA compliant and compatible with both windows and mac systems.
•    Must provide services for 10,000 students with a target population size of 4,000 
•    Solution shall have stable and consistent performance during the peak times during the academic calendar year.
•    The solution must be able to encrypt all web access (https).
•    The solution should allow users to have multiple roles without requiring multiple login accounts.
•    Solution shall have a reporting engine/dashboard for analysis of responses.
•    The solution must integrate with current college authentication services and protocols.
•    The solution should integrate with college institutional information for user account and profile provisioning and de-provisioning (create, update, and delete operations).
•    The solution should integrate with existing college services to manage groups, roles, and permissions.
•    Conduct weekly updates to the implementation team and quarterly updates to key college stakeholders. Progress reports and any other relevant documentation shall be provided.
•    The solution’s access control model should be flexible and extensible by the college as required to meet business needs.
•    The solution should allow configuration of user session controls that meet the college’s security and privacy needs including dual authentication.
•    The solution’s web interface should work with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Browsers.
