RFP Description

The Vendor is required to provide for a student information system (SIS) and associated services delivered as Software as a Service (SaaS) with implementation, training, integrations, operations support, and ongoing maintenance services.
- The SIS will support student records, scheduling, attendance, grading, portals, reporting, analytics, and secure data exchange with existing systems used by participating agencies.
- Provide kindergarten through twelfth grade schools with a modern, secure, accessible, and interoperable SIS with high uptime and strong privacy and compliance protections.
- Associated Services:
•    Implementation and project management;
•    Configuration and tenant set-up;
•    Data migration, conversion, and validation;
•    Integrations, interfaces, and use of published representational state transfer (“REST”) APIS and standard data feeds, secure file transfer protocol (“SFTP”) batch, and SSO via security assertion markup language (“SAML”) and/or OPENID connect (“OIDC”));
•    When hosted by the contractor, hosting and environment management for production, operations, monitoring, and performance management;
•    Preventive and corrective maintenance services, updates, and patching;
•    Service desk and technical support, incident response, problem management, and post-incident root-cause analysis;
•    Backups, restoration, and disaster recovery and business continuity plan activities, including testing;
•    Implementation and maintenance of information security controls, including continuous vulnerability management, collection and retention of system and security event logs (e.g., access attempts, changes, errors, and other relevant activity), monitoring and alerting based on those logs, audit support, and provision of required compliance attestations;
•    Digital accessibility conformance to WCAG version 2.1, level aa, or higher, and remediation, if applicable;
•    Training, including, but not limited to, train-the-trainer and role-based curricula, knowledge transfer, documentation, and runbooks;
•    Reporting, dashboards, public status page and release and maintenance communications;
•    Provide and maintain the export file layouts required to meet state reporting requirements and enable authorized client agency users to configure, generate, and validate those files;
•    Environment management for development, testing, user acceptance testing, production, and sandbox.
