RFP Description

The vendor required to provide fy26 media campaign to public relations and communications companies to continue and enhance its ongoing behavioral health media campaigns.
- Beginning in 2015, campaigns have focused on reducing overdose and other negative impacts of behavioral health disorders by raising awareness and utilization of local resources, reducing stigma, promoting overdose prevention strategies, etc.
- Campaigns have incorporated various tactics, including maintaining website, creation of videos and other advertisements, paid social media promotion, billboards, newspaper ads, etc.
- As with previous years, the fy2026 campaign will focus on reducing overdose incidents and fatalities through the promotion of behavioral health treatment and overdose response initiatives, as well as strategies to reduce the stigma associated with addiction and recovery.
- The fy2026 adds a new focus on increasing the community’s awareness and understanding of cannabis in light of recent changes to state law to prevent associated harms. 
- The media campaign should launch and be significantly implemented before June 30, 2026.
- The media vendor will provide expert guidance to the department related to the development of a comprehensive communications strategy to maximize the reach and impact of the campaign.
- Similar to previous years, promotions should include a mix of digital and traditional paid media marketing content.
