The vendor required to provide revenue-generating transit commercial advertising services for benches at bus stops within the county area.
- Advertising
• Advertising will be placed on contractor-furnished act compliant bus benches.
• Responsible for all aspects of exterior advertising sales including, but not limited to:
o Bench design
o Permitting
o Installation
o Removal of benches and individual advertisements
o Advertising sales and placement
o Bench maintenance and repair
• The exclusive right to market and place commercial advertisements on all bus benches the contractor maintains within the county area.
• All advertising must be approved by the county prior to installation, at least two workdays prior to installation.
• The county project manager or their designee will be the sole arbiter of acceptable content and will designate approval and disapproval through an email or other written communication.
• Provide either a dedicated point of contact to receive emails with work assignments or a portal to request work assignment (or both) and provide verification of work assignment completion.
• Generally accepted industry principles with respect to good taste and shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations including but not limited to truth in advertising, copyrights and trademarks.
• Responsible for securing all copyrights and trademarks associated with ads.
• Accepting advertising on bus benches, does not intend to provide a public forum for public debate or discourse.
• Advertising and setting policies for its bus advertising, is acting in its capacity as a proprietor to manage its operations, to create a commercial venture in the sale of advertising, and to raise revenue.
• The county notes the presence and availability of numerous alternative channels for advertising by those persons and for those businesses and products that the county does not accept as advertisers.
• This information may not exceed 12 square inches, but must be available to allow customers to report cleanliness issues, vandalism or any other pertinent issues.
• All unsold advertising spaces with graphics on bus bench backs, to indicate the space is available for advertisement.
• Bus bench advertisements will only be displayed on the front surface of the backrest.
• The contractor will obtain, produce, install, maintain, and remove all finished advertising material placed on a bus bench back.
• Remove all dated advertising material (material that is relevant to a specific time period or relevant to an event that occurs on a date certain) within five (5) days from the material’s expiration date.
