The vendor is required to provide photography, videography, and digital media services, including but not limited to: core photography and videography (on-site, event coverage, headshots, portraits, tours), storytelling and content creation (video storytelling, social content, short-form and digital formats such as reels, motion graphics, and interactive media), specialized techniques (360° camera work, trail walk-throughs, timelapse, underwater, drone, and animation), and post-production and distribution (image and video processing, editing, and social media video production).
- Requirement:
• These include but are not limited to: on-site photography and videography at preserves and other venues with people and nature (wildlife, habitats, views, etc.) and public works projects in-progress (trail building, maintenance, field operations, infrastructure, etc.).
• The images and videos are for use in print publications and digital media (website, social media).
• Editing services are needed to create both short- and long-form videos from new or existing images and footage.
• Digital media creation services focus on social media platforms, including short-form video, reels, motion graphics, and other visual storytelling formats designed to engage online audiences by enhancing digital presence through storytelling.
• These projects necessitate high-resolution photos and videos that capture the beauty, function and benefits of district open space preserves and district conservation and restoration work.
• Photographers, videographers, and digital media creators will be expected to work independently in the field, while collaborating closely with staff on content, scope and individual project specifications.
• Consultants may be required to secure photo releases from subjects as required by district.
• Consultants may be required to work with existing photo and video files and collaborate with other contractors.
• For all consultants, storytelling abilities are highly desirable.
• Respondents can submit proposals for one or more services and are not required to perform all services and tasks, e.g., proposing only photography, only videography and video editing, only digital media creation or any combination of the three.
- Photography
• Photograph a 3-hour live public event or meeting, select and edit photos from the event. (Travel time and expenses are not reimbursed unless by prior agreement in task order).
• Photograph relevant features of an open space preserve from a provided shot list, select and edit photos (assume 3 hours of time on site.
• Travel time and expenses are not reimbursed unless by prior agreement in task order).
• Photograph an active project in-progress at a district site, including securing photo releases from subjects as required by district, select and edit photos.
• These could include projects related to ecological restoration, vegetation management, public access or public programs such as volunteer work and docent-led guided activities (assume 3 hours of time on site.
• Travel time and expenses are not reimbursed unless by prior agreement in task order).
• Capture and edit professional headshots or portraits of district staff, volunteers, or partners for use in digital and print media.
- Videography
• Video an ecological restoration project and edit the footage into a one-minute-long video, including securing photo releases from subjects as required by district.
• Travel time and expenses are not reimbursed unless by prior agreement in task order).
• Video an active project in-progress at a district site.
• Select and clip out best video assets for use on website and social media.
• Travel time and expenses are not reimbursed unless by prior agreement in task order)
• Video a 3-hour public event or meeting, then edit out waiting time at the beginning and end and pauses in the middle of the video. (Travel time and expenses are not reimbursed unless by prior agreement in task order)
• Provide drone and aerial coverage of a district preserve or project site, including compliance with FAA regulations and editing into a short highlight video.
• Film underwater footage at a district site, edit and process video for clarity and accessibility.
- Digital media
• Develop and produce a series of short-form videos (e.g., reels, motion graphics, interactive media) optimized for social media platforms, including editing and formatting for multiple channels.
• Capture and produce a 360° trail walk-through video of a district preserve, including editing for interactive viewing formats.
• Record timelapse footage of an active project (e.g., construction, restoration, or vegetation management) and edit into a condensed highlight reel.
• Develop a short-animated explainer video (1–2 minutes) illustrating a district program or initiative, including script support, animation, and editing.
• Produce motion graphics overlays for existing video footage to enhance storytelling and audience engagement.
• Create an interactive digital interpretive tour of a district preserve, including narration, editing, and formatting for web and social platforms.
