Coding Services

The vendor required to provide coding assistance of charts in the epic environment.
- Requirement:
•    ICD-10 and CPT coding, modifier application, abstracting and data input support remotely as needed within three days of records being made available.
•    Initiating and resolving queries to physicians to clarify physician documentation for appropriate code selection.
•    Coding accuracy rate of ninety-five percent (95%) or above.
•    Semi-annual quality measurement reports as evidence of ongoing evaluation of coding accuracy. 
•    Contractor shall keep all patient information confidential and shall comply with all center compliance.
•    Facilitate the proposal process, the following approximate weekly patient volumes at center that may require hospital and professional fee coding support are provided below:
o    Inpatient—70
o    Long term care—10
o    Observation—20
o    Same day surgery—45
o    Emergency department—700
o    Clinic visits—up to 3500
•    Clinic visits include primary and specialty care. 
•    Specialty services provided at center include cardiology, dental and oral and maxillofacial surgery, dermatology, endocrinology, ENT, gastroenterology, hematology and oncology, infectious disease, internal medicine, musculoskeletal and orthopedic, nephrology, neurology, obstetrics and gynecology, optometry and ophthalmology, anesthesiology, pain management and palliative care, psychology, pulmonary medicine, rheumatology, general surgery, plastic surgery, and urology.
